Prof. Chenghua Li

PRESENT POSITION

My research interest covers investigating the molecular interactions of pathogens Vibrio splendidus with their host Apostichopus japonicas, an economic cultured animal in China. In particular, our focus is on:

  • Investigating the role of microRNAs in marine invertebrate biology and host-pathogen interactions, in particular anti-bacterial responses.
  • Exploring bacterial encoded genes that are responsible for infection, pathogenesis and manipulation of host gene expression machinery.
